Preparing with Hilary

We are making progress on our preparations for the Alaska trip. Executing these preparations with Hilary in tow has been at times more successful for me than at others.

First, we have recently enrolled her in Full Life Adult Day Care. We call it her Friendship Group, and we take her Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from about 8:30 until about 1PM. Time shrinks, projects complete

The number of discrete projects finding completion continues.

The pace picks up

Yesterday morning I ordered three items: More AAA rechargeable batteries — we have more and more things that need those — the wrench Terry Etapa suggested to complete the reassembly of the head panels and trim, and a pair of MC4 solar panel parallel connectors. They arrived later the same day.

A penny for your fuse box, and much ado about nothing, with a very large downside

Very busy, full productive days, and yet at the end of each, there is always the question, ‘‘what got done today?’’

Electrical has been the main item of effort.

Traps 1, Rats 0, Varnishing is complete, Cushions moving ahead

Thursday when I arrived at the boat to start work, a bag of lentils had been torn open: the rat(s) had returned. Before leaving at the end of the day I set a trap covered in lentils.
